Dr. Seuss Party

Amelia was able to have a big friend party this year. And by big, I mean big. Everyone we invited came with the exception of one. Wow.

Amelia wanted a Dr. Seuss party. She planned all of the games herself. She should seriously consider being a party planner when she is older.

We started by decorating our hats.

The finished product + all of the kids in attendance.

We then played a game of pin the green egg on the ham. Darn. We were too busy spinning blindfolded kids to snag a picture of that.

Then we had a "Thing 1 and Thing 2" relay race.

The kids had to hop on one foot, walk backwards, balance 3 Swedish fish on a spoon to a bowl, hula hoop 3 times, balance a book on their head and eat a cracker and whistle.

Then we played "Go Dog, Go" which was really Red Rover, but you get the picture.

That was followed by a game of "Horton Says" or if you don't live in Whoville, Simon Says...once again, too busy to snap a picture.

Then we had a fun game of "Who, Who, Grinch" or Duck, Duck, Goose. The kids thought it was extra fun to tag Jeremy who was a good sport each time...which was about every other time. He slept like a baby that night!

Of course we had to whack the pinata!

Present time!

My girl picked a donut cake this year. We have to be creative since she has an aversion to cake. She called this her loopy loop Whoville cake. We served it with little individual cups of rainbow sherbet.

Happy Birthday Kiddo!

How fun!! Looks like a great party. Bet she didn't cry a dozen times and run to her room screaming like my 6 year old who won't get to have a party for a few more years now.

Oh my holy load of kids at your house. Makes me tired just looking at the pictures. Thanks for letting my kiddos come and enjoy the party! Now Rylee has to have a donut cake for her birthday too. Look what you started!:)

What a fun party! I love it when they get to invite a lot of kids, they all have so much fun. But it's a LOT of work for mom.

Madison gets to have one of those big parties this year. Too bad her birthday is when it is too cold outside. I like the idea of being out side with that many kids.

If you (or Amilia) have any great indoor party ideas, I'm open for suggestions.
