5 Things Meme

I have been tagged by two newbies. I love them both. I remember the day we talked about me having a blog. They laughed at me. Now I chuckle because they are as addicted as I am!!! YAY for blogging! Thanks Alice and The Rookie!

5 Things I Was Doing 10 Years Ago:

1. I had just gotten married! WOOT!!! We had just come home from our honeymoon where we watched absolutely no television...we had better things to do. When we did come home we discovered Princess Diana had died.
2. Getting fitted for my Matron of Honors dress for ItyBtyFrog.
3. Playing house and setting up our new little dive. I loved that terrible apartment.
4. I was starting my junior year of college...that I never finished.
5. I can't think of a fifth. I think planning a wedding, getting married and going on a honeymoon qualify as quite a lot for that year.

5 Things on my to-do list today

1. Clean out storage room. Almost done. If I can just figure out what to do with all of the craft things that I will never get around to doing.
2. Make dinner. Chili and cornbread. Check.
3. Finish painting The Princesses bed. Check.
4. Laundry. Three loads. Check
5. Take care of sick kids while being sick myself. Check.

5 Snacks I enjoy

1. Chips. I LOVE chips. Except for BBQ. Blech!
2. Crunchy red grapes
3. Hot chocolate
4. Cinnamon bears
5. Ice water. I know, technically not a snack, but I drink it like it is going out of style.

5 Songs I know the lyrics to

1. Bananaphone by Raffi. It is the first song on my kids favorite cd. I memorized it by default.
2. "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel. I had to learn this for my Junior History class. I have never forgotten it.
3. "Breathe" by Anna Nalick. It is The Pea's favorite song. I love hearing her belt it out from the back seat. We play it so often I can't help but know all of the words.
4. That Delila song by I don't know who. The Princess loves it. Again, one that is listened to all of the time.
5. "Mary Jane's Last Dance" Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Has to be one of my all time favorites.

5 Things I would do if I were a millionaire

1. Pad our retirement.
2. Look at investment opportunities.
3. Put money in an account for our daughters weddings. I have three to think about you know!
4. Travel Europe with my family
5. I want to say pay off my house, but I really want to do other things. Also, I think I would be crazy if DH didn't have someplace to go everyday. I had him working from home for 5 years. I can't imagine what it would be like if he weren't working that entire time. So instead I would get some "work" done.

5 Bad Habits

1. I start projects and rarely finish them.
2. I bite my nails.
3. I am a chronic snacker. I need to stop the grazing!
4. I scratch my head while I am trying to fall asleep. It drives dh bonkers.
5. I! use! way! too!! many! exclamation! points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 Things I'd never wear again

1. A ribbon in my hair. I wear scarves. I will leave the ribbon wearing to little girls.
2. Overalls. Not quite for the over 4 years old set. I even have a pair of maternity ones that I know are uber comfy, but there is just no way.
3. A br@ under a size d. This makes me sad.
4. Maternity clothes. After this baby I am BURNING THEM!!!
5. Patterned underwear under a light dress. Not my smartest move. I didn't realize that people at church could see my Mickey Mouse underp@nts.

5 Favorite toys

1. My squeezable Strawberry Shortcake baby doll
2. My Pound Puppy and her litter
3. My "Herself the Elf" dolls. I know of hardly anyone who remembers these. I loved them!
4. Barbies and the Barbie house my dad made for me.
5. Books. I would stay up until 3 in the morning to read a book I had read a thousand times before. I still do that once in a while.

Okay, Tagging Time.

I am tagging the following because they truly amaze me and I love to hear what goes on in their lives and the things they have to say.
1. ItyBtyFrog...when her life settles down
2. Suzanne
3. Gabs
4. Lei
5. Smart Mama

The patterned underwear cracked me up. I'm in the primary pres. at church and every Sunday I see at least 1 girl in patterned undies showing thru her dress. Why doesn't her mom tell her?!?!?

Thanks for playing along! By the way, the Delilah song is by the Plain White T's. I like that one myself. :)

Okay, totally feeling bad about the maternity overalls I wore on Saturday....it was moving day, what can I say! I will try to do this later today, since life is absolutely dull in my empty house right now. Loved hearing all your answers.

Ooh thanks for tagging me! I also got married and was being fitted for a bridesmaid dress for Itybty 10 years ago! LOL!

If I hear Delilah on the radio one more time, I'm sure I will puke! :D

I'll get mine up as soon as I can!

Well you have a lot going on right now...I looked at your "to do" list and felt really guilty. My to do list for today has included helping dh a little bit this morning (he's got a sprained ankle), putting the garbage cans out by the curb. Vegging in front of the a/c until its time to make dinner. And making dinner.

How are you feeling? I've been thinking about you.

Hey-thanks for the tag-I'd love to play.

LOL about the maternity overalls-I donned mine despite my loathing of them. Hope it doesn't come to that for you. :)

Remember them? My sister had an Herself the Elf poster and I had a puzzle. Does that make Char and I cool? Oh, and my sister?

1. How can you be so productive when you are taking care of sick kids and being sick yourself?
2. Mmmmm, cinnamon bears.
3. I've never heard of any of those songs. I need to climb out of my hole and actually listen to the radio one of these days.
4. I, too, use! way! to! many! exclamations! points!!!!!

Cinnamon bears are so yummy!

I try not to leave unfinished projects, but still have them all over the place. How does that happen?

Just got rid of 2 pair of overalls today!

I remember your first apartment. Wasn't the kitchen bright orange? I might be wrong, but for some reason I remember it that way.
