Seattle

This last Sunday, DH and I took off for a little lovin' and relaxin'. It was the first time since we have had kids that we have gotten away without them. To all those that live in Seattle, I love your fair city, absolutely love it!!! I love how once you get out of the city, it smells like camping. I love the artsyness of it all. I love the market and Puget Sound. I love the outskirts. I love how the rain cleans everything. I love that during the three days we were there that half of each day was sunny and bright. I don't love the way downtown Seattle is lined with one-way streets. Luckily, all of the natives are kind and come running and screaming at your car to let you know just what an idiot you are to have turned the wrong way down one of them. It was DH driving those times. I have enough sense to look at the signs before I turn, unfortunately, this also leads to driving around in circles for most of the day. I hope you are all impressed that I know Seattle like the back of my hand. Being lost in downtown for four hours will do that to a girl.

I told my husband that if I pulled every funky thing I own out of my closet, put it all on at once and then fold it every possible way it could be folded, I would blend in.

My hubby is from Seattle and I loved it the one time we visited pre-Liam. I completely agree with everything you said. If it wasn't so danged expensive to live there, I would pick up and go TODAY! LOVE IT!

Totally jealous. I'd love a kidless weekend (or hour) and I'd love to go to Seattle.

Sounds like you had a fun trip. I am glad you were able to get away and have a little couple time.

I've never been to Seattle. Jealous!
Trips with hubby and no kids are awesome, aren't they?

Fun! What a cool date. Seattle is so fun and different.

Your last paragraph about blending in with the natives: 100% accurate.
