Finally...The Nativity

Here it is in all it's glory. My mom gave us this one the first year we were married. It is just like the one we had growing up. I keep thinking that I will get a new one, but I just can't bring myself to do that. I just thought I should add that this year at our house the Christmas Nativity has a few additions. It has joined the festivities with the wreath ornament that M made at school. Also did you know that in addtion to the three wise men, baby Jesus was visited by Santa's top three elves. Consider yourself informed.

Merry Christmas All!!!

My parents had that exact same nativity when I was a kid. That brought back such great memories! :)

I SO need to get a nativity....but not like the one we had when I was a kid. My mom made it out of salt dough at Relief Society. All the people and animals had hair lovingly crafted with a garlic press. Sweet, I tell ya! There was lots of lacquering involved, too.

We had the same nativity scene growing up also!! And right now our nativity scene has a Christmas tree and some ceramic carolers in the middle of it. ;)
