It's official...

...I have turned into my mother. Every time I have opened my mouth this week, my mom has fallen out. It started when M told me her sister made her do something. I told her "It doesn't look like your arm is broken." It ususally occurs when there is some sort of whining or fighting going on. The rest have come as follows:

"You don't want to find out what happens when I get to three."

"If wishes were fishes, we'd all have a fry."

"Because I said so."

"Because I'm the mom."

"I am going to sell you to the Gypsies."

"What smell? It must be your upper lip."

And my personal favorite:

"People in Hell want ice water, doesn't mean they'll get it!"

She should be so proud...Love you mom!

I know.
"Because I said so."
"Because I'm the mom."
"Because YOU are older."
"As long as you live under my roof."
Using their whole name when I'm upset.
The funny thing is that before I had kids I told myself I wouldn't say any of those things.

Mirror Mirror on the wall, I'm my mother after all.

Gypsies. They were my worst nightmare whenever they'd threaten to sell me. Good to know they don't really exist. :-)

"People in hell want ice water" is my personal favorite. My Gran (grandfather) used to say that. Seriously, I sound more like my mom every day... those little lessons are just waiting there for when we become moms.

A lady in my ward says, "Are your arms painted on?"

I love mom-isms! They're great! It just shocks me when one pops out of my own mouth! My personal favorite is "The next person to come around with 2 gazillion dollars can have you!" (Glad I'm not the only one to threaten to sell my child!)

I so know what you mean, mine is always, "You can come out of your room when you change your attitude."

I am proud that thus far I have not threatened to kick anyone out nor have I threatened to run a way from home...both Momisms I hope to avoid!

Thats too funny. I say the ice water thing all the time, even before I had a kid, and he's not even old enough to say that too yet!

I hate it when my mom falls out of my mouth.

I hate it when that happens!

LOL! These comments are so funny and I find myself using them all the time even though I swore I wouldn't when I heard my own mom say them.

My hubby taught me the one about the gypsies. I'd never heard it before.

My favorites:

Because I'm the mom!

Do you want me to go get Dad?

Because I said so!

I don't wear it. Why would I know where it is?

The gypies are in town! :)

P.S. It would be fun to get together to make decorations. I don't think you'd ever be a 3rd wheel. You are so fun! :)

Yup, it's frightening!

Yeah, I'm guilty too. My favorite, "If you want me, come where I am!".

Ok.....I just laughed out loud....you opened your mouth and your mom fell out... *Hahahaha....
I have the same problem. Just don't tell my mother.

Sounds like we all have our moms falling out of our mouths every once and a while. Love the ice water one. I've never heard that before but I might just have to use it.

Too funny. My mom always said:
"I'm going to send you back to the Indians."
and
"Don't make me get the wooden spoon!"

Haven't used those ones yet but my mom comes out in so many other ways that I swore it never would.

I don't hear her too often yet, but I see her whenever I do something absent minded- like yesterday when I put the recycling in the fridge and found myself standing in the garage with a carton of eggs.

I find myself doing that too! Absolutely frightening.
