Random Meme

How cool do I feel? I have been dually tagged. Thanks to Nettie and Dawnyel. I feel super cool!

What do you like most about where you live?
I have never really thought about this before. I love that we are close enough to the only freeway in Utah that we can hop on it in less than four minutes. I like that I am not in a city that houses a Wal-Mart, although there are three within ten minutes of us. I love the diversity of my city. I live by some wonderful people and my children will grow up with more tolerance than I did. I LOVE my house and yard. Our yard is almost complete, and when it is, I will share pictures.

Is there anything strange about where you live?
YES! You know how every city has a weirdo? We have a lot of them. My favorite is the old guy that drives a HUGE old car of some kind. He is this teeny, tiny, crotchety old man that can hardly see above the steering wheel and he is always driving on the wrong side of the street. On the side of his car is a magnet that is advertising for some sort of digital company. Yeah, I am going to call them FOR SURE! One time he was on the wrong side of the road-again-and I passed him. He didn't like that much and he followed me. I had to come up with some pretty sharp moves to lose him. Weirdo!!! I think there is some sort of unwritten code that every neighbor we have has to have some sort of a hound dog. I hate when sirens go by in the middle of the night because all of the dogs go off too!

What's one of your all time favorite music albums, and why?

When my cousin got married, for their wedding reception favors, they distributed cds of their favorite songs at the door. It contains everything from Dido to IZ. It is romantic and sweet and happy. I love listening to the songs because they just make me feel good.

Did you have a passion for something as a kid that you still have now? (If not - what is one of your passions now?)
I do. I used to love decorating my doll house. I would arrange the furniture, make pictures for the walls, make bedding, etc. I do that with my house now. I am constantly changing my accessories, rearranging furniture and shaking things up.

What do you like most about having a blog?
My reasons for blogging keep changing. At first it was to fill a void in my life that I had tried to fill through various other means, without success. That void has been filled, but not the way I thought it would be, and it wasn’t because of my blog. At that point I was trying to decide if blogging was something I wanted to keep in my life. It was. Now it has completely morphed into something else. I found out that I have a voice, a voice that has been lost through all of the mundane moments of my life. I remembered that I am creative and fun and sharing it with a group of new found friends is such a joy. I love hearing what others have to say, and I love reading about all of the wonderful women that I feel privileged to call friends.

I would tag someone but my sweetie is calling and I have another busy week ahead.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and giving some very needed and appreciated advice!

Ok, this is soooo weird! I swear you just described EXACTLY where I live! That would be so funny if we just lived down the street from each other! Blogging is such a small world!

I love reading your blog! I've actually "blog-hopped" over here before! I'll definitely come and visit more! Thanks!

I love your comment about finding your voice! It's so easy to forget that you are more than the mundane sometimes.

I think it's true that all of our reasons for blogging change...

It is nice to "hear" your voice.

Interesting meme. I understand what you are saying about blogging and how our reasons for doing change. Sometimes mine seem to change daily. :)

Ditto on the voice comments. It's so nice to remember that I'm not just Brian's wife or the 5 kids' mom, the chauffeur, the cook, the laundry woman...

Not that those are bad things to be. But the blog really does up the old self esteem.

Amen on the "voice" and the "reasons for bloggin'"

Unfortunately for me it is also something of a "vice" as I cannot seem to integrate it into my life instead of just getting sucked in. Trying to find the happy balance.
