On Time

Life is a continual process of learning. I am learning about time. Time is something I have precious little of. There just aren't enough hours in the day.

Yesterday I had one of the busiest days I have had in a long time. I jumped from one activity to the next without hardly a moment to breathe. I loved every minute of it! The thing that I didn't have time for, however, was my computer habit. I got so many things done and I only turned on my computer to find out some details for a girls night out.

When I woke up this morning I hopped onto my computer first thing. I realized that I have a problem. I am forgetting the "real" people in my life. The living and breathing people that call me "honey" and "mom". I have my priorities out of whack. It is time I put them back where they need to be. My time is so little as it is, I am spending so much of it in a "cyberworld".

So for now, I am cutting back. Oh, I may come back once in a while to lurk and see what is going on the world of my friends, but I have got to get back to reality. I have got to put the things that should be first, first. I love you internets. I will miss you, but perhaps when I can keep this habit under control, I will be back.

Lots of Love,
Stephanie

I can so relate. I've been doing a bit of the same myself. I keep coming back, but most days not as often.

I'm so glad I got to meet you before you decided real life was the way to go.

Good for you, I totally hear you.
Have fun in the real world (I've heard there are tons of things to do and people to meet).

Sadly, I'm not a quick learner.

Oh I know we can all relate here. I've been trying to get my "habit" under control and get things in perspective. Good for you - I'm sure your fam will be thrilled to see that laptop closed up.

Steph, I'll miss your sweet comments. I totally "get it", though. I've seen a change in my internet habit since returning to the classroom. I feel like I've lost the pace of the blog, but it is what it is, for now. {HUGS} Chrissy

I am right there with you. I have stopped my midnight lurking and have gone to bed earlier lately. I love blogging, but so many other things are much more important. Even my hubby is starting to resent my laptop. So I try to blog when he isn't around so my full attention is on him and Liam.

I think cutting back is a good thing. I still try to post a few times a week because it's a personal journal for me as well but I have definitely cut back on my "blog walking" to only a couple of times a week whent he kids are napping.

Yep, I have been cutting back lately too. Don't worry, we'll all still be here!

Many of us seem to be coming to this same conclusion at the same time. Do what you need to do!

Everyone needs a break every once in a while! Good job getting your priorities in order!

Oh Stephanie,
I understand more than you know. This is one reason why I have not had a post in 8 days. Real life HAS to take precedence.....internet life is just the proverbial icing on the cake.

WE'll miss you! I understand though. Nutella has been "off" for several months now trying to enjoy her pregnancy and although I miss reading her blog I'm glad she's spending time doing what matters. It will be nice to hear how your life goes when you come back now and then!

I too can totally relate, I pretty much have to limit my time and only blog during nap time or when my hubs is busy too.

Yup we'll all still be "here" too...but maybe not as frequently either!

I hear ya! I have been doing the same for a month or so... We do what we gotta.

Have your computer crash and be out of comission for a week or two...it forces you to jump back into the real world, and then when you get back online, it is easier to just jump on and off real quick.

That has been my experience anyway.

And it sounds like you had a great time at your GNO with a few of my long lost Utah friends...Sniff! AZ is soooo far away!

Take all the time you need to regroup, and know that we'll all be waiting for you when you feel it is time to get back into the blogging world.
