Tropical Storm Sophie

I forgot about this stage. The stage when they are into EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING! A teeny, tiny force of nature.

Someone once said curiosity killed the cat...in our house, curiosity cooked the baby.

This is what happened while I was sweeping the kitchen floor.

This is what it should look like. This is obviously after I cleaned up the mess that tropical storm Sophie left in her wake. I call her tropical storm because I have a feeling that this is just the beginning.

And the books, I just can't justify putting them up any higher. I have a love of books and of instilling that in my girls...even at the age of 10 months. She sits and looks and looks at them. As much as I want to pick them up, I won't. Sometimes you just don't mess with mother nature.

Oh how cute she is! You're right, though. Sometimes you just have to let it be. But can I just say that you are wonderful and even your cluttered for the moment laundry room looks so clean! You're the best!

How cute!!! They sure are curious. I laughed when I looked at your laundry room...you have the exact same toy on the front of your washer as I do. Look at my house blog a few days ago. Funny!

And the hardest part is that they don't really mean to be naughty, they are just curious! Hey, I think I remember you emailing me about a maybe b-day witchy doll for miss Sophie. I am moving in a couple of weeks so let me know if you are still interested. I can probably pull it off but I would need to know a little earlier than I usually would. And if you have changed your mind or I am thinking about the wrong friend don't worry about it!

Sometimes I wonder why I bother to put Ava's books back into the book case every night...but she seems to like being able to pull them out one by one and place them randomly all over the house. I'm just grateful she's over her toilet playing days-yikes.

Let me say I know exactly what you mean. By the end of the day I am exhausted. Chas is just like that. He never sits still and is always into something. He is also in the stage where he know he shouldn't do something, but he does it until he gets caught and then crawls away with a big grin on his face. So good luck. It is a good thing she is cute.

I feel like clapping. You are a great mom, as always. I love the last part about not messing with mother nature. Or as my mom use to say, "she is just doing what comes naturally!"

I love the way you look at things. She is so cute you just can't get mad at her, even when she turns the house into the site of a natural disaster.

Thank goodness Lexi only had a few. I WISH we still had floridated water!!!! That's okay though. Good luck with your whirlwind child. If I had any advice I would give it...all I can say is in my experience it gets worse!

Look at her cute face! Kade is going through that same stage. If I'm folding laundry he is right behind me unfolding it! He has now discovered gravity, he throws everything over the baby gate down the stairs and he now is opening me cupboards! YIKES!

Oh, we are going through that too here! It is so crazy, I clean one room and another looks like a tornado hit it!

Hugs,

Just when you think it can't get any worse. She just keeps you on your toes. It's what makes her so special and uniquc. Got to love that sweet Sophie.

You would think they get better by the 9th grade, but they don't. I clean up after people that I've already told to pick things up. All day long.

What a sweetheart! Has she put anything in the toilet yet? Nick just did! He wants to see why sister always gets to use the potty, he saw the hole, and there went the toy! lol They're so fun! ;)

I feel your pain!

Your house still looks super clean though!

Hopefully that TS won't spin off more storms!

She's the best kind of tropical storm to have!

And your house still looks great.

I can actually visualize her name as a tropical storm! She's funny, it's so cute that they can get into things like that without a care in the world!

That is why babies are so cute....so you don't kill them when they make mess after mess after mess. I love her in the cooker!! And great idea to put magnets on your washer....I will have to try that next laundry day.
