A long time ago in a land not so far away, I tried to be a scrapbooker, and as a wonderful friend so eloquently put it, it didn't work out.
I adore my family. I am terrible about journaling, I stink at scrapbooking and all of those lovely and charming and not-so-much moments were slipping away.
I want my kids to know the love I feel for them and the times I cherish them. I want them to see themselves through my eyes.
This is my attempt at recording our musings and misadventures as they come.
I hope you enjoy our little corner of the internet.

I know just how you feel! We have birds that begin chirping before 5 A.M. too! It's really hard to be greatful for God's creatures when they don't respect a courteous time.
I think after a while I got used to hearing them, and tuned them out most of the time. I think robins would be stringy anyway...
We're trying the cookie recipe today-minus the milk choc chips. The store was out-don't ask :).
My mom has a guy in her neighborhood who had a bird in his chimney, so he shot it and got the eggs and fried them up for breakfast. Want me to send him your way?
I so thought that you were going to post a picture of you with a pellet gun! LOL
Hehehehehe sorry, no recipes here. Maybe try a little lemon pepper and throw him on the George Forman.
BBQ sauce is also always a good stand by. :)

I know I am going against the grain here, but I kind of appreciate those songsters. I suppose it is because I too have to wake at an inhumane hour and it feels nice to have that concrete and welcoming confirmation that yes, it is in fact morning.
And I suppose it helps that, until my alarm goes off, I can sleep through just about anything (except, perhaps, lawnmowers).
4 am is not a good time to be singing to me regardless of your species!

My parents cat Milo will do the trick. She always leaves her offerings for my dad to see by the back door. She gets them every time!
That would drive me crazy that early in the morning.
I think it is illegal to kill song birds....just so you know before you start making dinner plans. :)
Hmm...maybe spread some bird seed on your neighbors roof! ;)
How about roasted pigeon? They are driving me nuts!
