RANDOM
I have been a slug this last week. A worthless slug. I couldn't figure out why. Seems I have been forgetting to take my little cocktail. Sleep deprivation will do that to you. If I don't take these, I just don't live.
TEETH
I don't know if I have mentioned how fussy Little Squishy has been, but she has been. Look closely at the picture. Click on it to make it bigger. I love trying to catch their smiles on camera. Anyways. Look at her bottom gums. LOOK! She is a freaking TWO MONTHS OLD and those are teeth. TEETH! My b0obies hurt just thinking about it!!! They are right beneath the surface. YOU CAN FEEL THE RIDGES ON THEM!!! This is especially hard because she is too little to do all of the little tricks to make her NOT CHEW ON ME!!!
My other babies were SIX MONTHS before they got teeth. TWO MONTHS!!!! AGGGHHHH!!!!! At least now that we have figured that out, she has been much nicer. Gotta love Hyland's teething tablets. Normally I am more of a nature girl and my others chewed on green onions to help teethe. Onions have the ability to take away sting. If you ever get a minor burn, slice an onion on it and it takes the burn away. Seriously, try it. With teething babies, a green onion works WONDERS! Unfortunately, I just can't stomach giving my TWO MONTH OLD a green onion!!!
THE STORY OF STUFF
I was hanging around on Lara's blog, and I came across this. The Story of Stuff. It makes you think. Really think. Every time I want to go shopping now, I get a pit in my stomach. I had started cutting back months ago, but this makes me want to go farther. I don't buy things with double packaging. No more cereal in boxes. You have the box as well as the liner. Oatmeal in the large cans and not individual packaging. Nothing is in individual packaging anymore at our house. It takes more time and energy to prepare, but it is worth it. We compost and I refuse to put chemicals into our ground. I recycle. I am currently making reusable grocery sacks so that I no longer have to get bags at the grocery store. I have gone organic in much of our food. It hit home when that video talked about contaminants and toxins in breast milk.
I think a lot of our shopping habits as a society stem from "keeping up with the Joneses"...a notion I no longer subscribe to. It is worth 21 minutes of your time. Think about it.

Love the picture of your Little Squishy. I'm jealous you caught the smile! I need to try your cocktail and see if I can get my butt in gear! Love your blog, seriously, love your blog!
Teeth!! Aaaahhhhh!! I feel your pain. I will have to watch the Story of Stuff at another time. I think DH would like to watch it with me.
Okay, deleted comment was mine and it is because I really need to proofread what I write. Oopsy.
Anyway, as I was saying...Thanks for the link to "The Story of Stuff." That quote from Eisenhower's economic committee--HOLY CRAP! I knew there was a mastermind behind all of this mess! My jaw, it doth dropeth!
Isn't it scary! What is the deal with all our stuff!!!
What a cute picture of Squishy :)
Health cocktail. Interesante!
TEETH! Holy cow little squishy!! I think Scarlet's popped through around 5 months and I thought that was early! What a little cutie she is!!
.... the whole organic thing is a fluke. Of course that is just my opinion based on many studies, but mainly the one done by John Stossel. A brilliant man-- worth anyone's time to read any of his books.
I agree we need to be careful, but I also agree we can live a good and fruitful life too. :)
that is the cutest little baby smile I have ever seen!!
You poor thing! You hear about babies teething that early but wow! I love Hylands too!
You go with the story of stuff!
I want to watch it but the link isn't working. Help!
I can't believe she is getting teeth. I'm so sorry!
Oh, and btw...this picture looks just like the Princess when she was a baby!
