She Got Me!!!

She obviously knows what a slacker blogger I have been lately and the only thing that will get me back into the game is a meme. I've been tagged by Lei to do the 7 random "things about me" meme.

I seriously struggled with this one. For the life of me I could not come up with seven random things. After much hmmming and hawwwing, here you go.

1. I am a creative person by nature. You wouldn't be able to tell that by the fact that I struggled with 7 things about myself, but let me explain. I can come up with an idea off the top of my head...except for when I am expecting. I put all creative things away for nine months while my body focuses on nothing except for baby-making. If I do happen to make something during this hiatus, I look at it after I have my baby and I hate it and it ususally is one of the ugliest things I have ever done.

2. I collect fonts. Right now I have 1251 of them. I know most of them by name. I will see an add on television and I can almost always tell you the name of said font used in the commercial.

3. When I was a little girl, I always wanted to own an ice cream parlor or become a teacher. After three years of scooping ice cream and another three years working around young monsters, those dreams will forever remained unfulfilled.

4. I have absolutely no sense of direction. When we went to Seattle in the spring, I drove around for an hour and a half trying to find the convention center where my husband was. I get turned around when I go to the local mall. If you ever see some grown woman sitting on her purse in the middle of the mall sobbing because she can't rember which way the entrance is, don't mind her and kindly help her out. It is probably me.

5. My three favorite vegetables are artichokes, asparagus and avocados. Don't tell me how avocados are technically a fruit. It is green and not sweet. In my book it is a vegetable.

6. I have a hard time with made up baby names. Okay that one is a given. If you have been with me from the beginning you would know how I feel. Please, do your children, their future teachers and the rest of FREAKING HUMANITY and give your child a NORMAL name.

7. I receive about twenty catalogs a month. I never, ever buy from them. But they all come in the mail for me. I look at them from front to back and then I put them in the recycle bin. I love them. They show that someone loves me...even if it is just a company that wants my money.

There you have it. I haven't tagged in a while. So the lucky seven I am tagging are:

Jane (since she has blogged three times in one week)
and newcomers

I am SO laughing at your comment about the "ugliest thing you've ever made". That's why I still hate SEVERAL things in my home.. because they were created while I was pregnant. ;0) But honestly - you ARE extremely talented and creative.

I'm LOVING the baby names! *hee hee* SO FUNNY!
And I will get on this soon....and to think I would NEVER have seen this if I hadn't gabbed with you! :)

I worked in a ice cream parlor too! I also thought I wanted to teach. One quarter of 7th graders and pre-algebra finished that up quickly. And, I also get lost at the mall (park near the same store every single time) and adore my mountains of catalogs.

LOL, I am envisioning a home decorating show where a woman wall papered her entire house in this ugly loud paper, while pregnant.

I'm a font collector, namer too...I think you have me beat by about 200 though, I had better start perusing font sites again!

Holy cow that is a lot of fonts! I myself am not a creative thinker but I love to steal a good idea. After, of course, I give credit where credit is due. =) Fun post!

I think avocados are vegetables too...and they sound so yummy right now. I still want all of your fonts!!! I will play as soon as I can...busy weekend coming. I can't even think of doing creative projects right now either.

That is so interesting about the Fonts! I also don't do creative things when I'm pregnant (and no homemade Christmas presents either!)

Thanks for tagging me! I'll get to it as soon as I can. :)

I loved reading your 7 things. And the more I find out about you, the more I am pretty sure that you and Char are long lost twins. You are so much alike!

I'll get on my list soon, Thanks for tagging me.
