Under Construction

I just made my blog the way I wanted it and then I signed in and Blogger told me I needed to switch to this new version. In doing so, I lost all of my links, and now most of my comments register under anonymous. I am trying to establish my links section again, so if you visit and you would like to be put back in the links, would you please put your blog address in the comments? The current ones I have are ones that I have been frantically blog-hopping today to get too. I would hate to leave anyone out!

Thank you for your patience! I miss my links!

Also, if anyone knows how I can put my custom title back into the template, I would love to know! It won't let me!

I have also tried to comment on several blogs. This happened when everyone switched to Beta. I almost gave up blogging then because I was so frustrated. Hopefully this will be remedied soon and I won't want to give up again!!!

I miss blogging when it was stress free!

The same thing happened to me last week! All my comments were there but now anonymous... and things lost. Good luck. It was frustrating for me too.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that! I didn't have that problem, but in case I did I made a copy of the template before I messed with it so I could always go back to that.. I hope it's all sorted out soon!

I have problems with comments sometimes and I'm on the old version. I just get frustrated and leave my computer for a while and then try again. I know that wasn't much help, sorry.

The whole not being able to leave comments thing is really annoying and I get frustrated quite easily. I have been trying to put a semi custom title on my blog and I can't figure it out now either!

Moving over to wordpress was one of the best things I did!! Super easy - they do all the work for you. Sorry to hear it's been such a mess for you!

I'm trying to figure out how to change my header too, but it won't let me do it how I always have. When/if I figure it out, I will let you know! Why can't this be easier?!

I'm sorry, but I'm not much help with your questions. I'm still figuring out things with the New Blogger too!

This blogger beta thing has been crazy and truly a mess I think. I wish I knew how to fix your heading. Mine is www.allthatsassafrass.blogspot.com if you want to link me. I hope you get it all figured out!

Good luck with the transistion. I was so frustrated I switched to Blogsome for a while. Things are much better now (for me at least). It's like Blogger has a cruel initiation period for all of those making the change.

I didn't have too much of a problem other than commenting. I finally figured out if I put in my old blogger name, but my new blogger password it worked. Who knows why??! Good luck- LOVE how your new blog looks!

it's been a nightmare for everyone. when it was giving me fits, I would just select "other" and type my name and blog address... it was much easier!

I agree with Gabriela, the intial switch almost feels like an initiation period, where you must prove the Blog gods you are worthy.
It does get better Stephanie, but it takes a while.

Stephanie,

Your old blogger template should still be saved. You can just go back into your old template, copy your links, and then put them in by choosing "add element" and then choosing the HTML/Java script option and saving it. I had this problem, too, and finally figured it out.

Here is my blog link: http://kristenssocalledlife.blogspot.com

Not sure how to remedy your custom banner, though. :-(
