Living in 2007

My aunt e-mailed me this today. I fit every single catergory except the cell phone one. I still haven't joined the ranks of cell users. I refuse. When I leave, I don't want to be found. I hope this makes you smile.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2006 when...

1. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't read their e-mail very often.

6. You accidentally enter your ATM pin on the microwave.

7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.

8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

10. You get up in the morning and go on line before going to the bathroom.

11. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.

12. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

13. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

14. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

Go on, forward this to your friends. You know you want to! And Yes, I was laughing and I did scroll back to see that there wasn't a #9

I loved it! I'm sad to admit that I've become this way with my cell phone. I've driven back to the house to get it before. I just can't live without it!!! :)

HA HAAAA! Loved it, so true.
Sketchy is working on a different level of consciousness from the rest of us, truly inspiring.
Me on the other hand, didn’t go back to look for #9,, I took your word (theirs) for it.

I don't have a cell phone either but I still enjoyed that list because I know people who do that, my SIL IM's her husband while they are both at home to tell him something.

Oh yes, so funny 'cause it's true! Still can't believe you don't have a cell phone?!

Hey I don't have a cell phone either.

I don't want them to find me.

Plus I'm still waiting for the perfect one. Phone, ipod, navigational system, camera, tv, heart monitor, computer and the ability to make me disappear at a moments notice.

Hilarious! But I've used real playing cards to play solitaire. From January-August 2005, I slept no more than 3 hours/night (pg w/my dd...good thing she's so cute). I had the worst case of Restless Legs Syndrome and for some reason, playing w/real cards helped? All I know is I must've played 1000's of games over those months. Not even exaggerating. Ugh.
And I didn't scroll back for #9. I'm too lazy for that.

You and me both! Nothing annoys me more than seeing a group of college students walking down the sidewalk "together" but each talking to someone else on the phone!

I did go back and see if there was a #9!

Yes, I've emailed my DH in the same room!

And I was like you. I DID NOT want a cell phone. Then my son started babysitting for me and I realized I really needed a way for him to get a hold of me in an emergency. That calling to get help bringing in the groceries is really handy though!

*shaking head...laughing* So funny! Thanks for sharing it!

Oh my WORD!! That is too funny. I especially liked the one where it said you are nodding and laughing as you read this because I was! That is great!

I see myself in at least 10 of those! I've caught myself trying to change the channels on the TV with my cell phone....that's just because I'm old!
