I am very blessed. Our principal is wonderful He listened to me and switched her. I hope he likes chocolates.

A long time ago in a land not so far away, I tried to be a scrapbooker, and as a wonderful friend so eloquently put it, it didn't work out.
I adore my family. I am terrible about journaling, I stink at scrapbooking and all of those lovely and charming and not-so-much moments were slipping away.
I want my kids to know the love I feel for them and the times I cherish them. I want them to see themselves through my eyes.
This is my attempt at recording our musings and misadventures as they come.
I hope you enjoy our little corner of the internet.

I am so glad. That anxious feeling went away immediately. It has now been replaced with a feeling of "I hope I didn't hurt the new teachers feelings too badly."

It just takes persistance...and throwing up a few times, but you've got what you need for your daughter! YAY! Hope that sick feeling leaves you soon! :)

Oh good Love that principle! And are you sure your not pregnant LOL. That throwing up ness is pretty common over in my land.
Steph, so glad you got it worked out and feel better. Isn't it amazing the instincts you have as a mom to protect your children? If we don't do it, no one will. Good job! :)
(I read that you were throwing up before I read about the source of the problem and I was thinking it was time for some Zofran! :))
LOL, you all are so funny thinking that I am throwing up for another reason. I possibly couldn't be in that stage, but maybe soon. Hmmmm. I had better go talk to DH about that.

So what happened exactly...did you just switch teachers. Or were you able to switch schools. I thought you'd mentioned that getting a variance and moving to another school was your first choice?

It was really nice. M's first teacher was super nice and so sweet. I just don't think it was the best classroom environment for her. The principal called me back when the day was over and we switched her to the class that I thought would best suit her needs. The children in this class are all very bright and well-behaved (except for one). It was a lot easier for me to send her to school today knowing that because of a lot of the children in the class that the teacher wouldn't have to teach beneath her level. Also it was easier knowing that the teacher wouldn't have to spend a lot of the time disciplining.
Now I just feel guilty. Her other teacher was very nice and super sweet. I just don't want her to take it personally. Because it wasn't personal towards her at all.
Guilt is better than pukey in my book.
I am so glad things are looking up. I was sorry to read all this history of your upset stomach... it's so hard letting your child go to school then finding out she isn't in the best hands. I hope this new teacher is better.
It is great to have a principal who is sensitive to the parents and listens to them. I'm glad for the outcome. Now you can quit puking. :-)
