It seems like so little, but feels like so much more.
Ignore my neurosis about superstition. I am clearly NOT normal in this arena. Post all you want and if it ever gets to thirteen and you think that I will go berserk, don't worry...I will make up the difference.
Do you ever have those days where you know you accomplished a lot but when you take a step back it feels like so little? Today was one of those days. I spent the majority of the day cleaning, sorting and organizing our cold storage. I will never have mine look as pretty as Char's, but I can dream. I ran my oldest to a birthday party, I did some laundry, and I made bread and a roast for dinner. I cleaned the kitchen twice. I ran to the grocery store for a few more things for the food storage, I talked to one of our R.S. Counselors in depth about our Super Saturday and the project(s) that I am in charge of. I.am.tired. As I sit here and type to you all I am looking around my house and I see my messy kitchen, the toys strewn across the family room, the massive pile on the kitchen table the three baskets of laundry that have yet to be washed.
It just never ends.

The kitchen. It just amazes me how often I need to clean the kitchen. I am sorry you are so tired. Take a break, get some rest. The kitchen will be there to clean later, but you attitude will probably be better if you get some rest. Know that I am sympathizing with you!
Laundry is the never-ending pile of my existence. It never ceases to amaze me how small children can add so much to the laundry...I mean their clothes are tiny!
You deserve a Calgon moment!
Here's the harsh reality: Unless you strip your entire family naked for the time it takes to do a load of laundry, you'll ALWAYS have dirty clothes. Sorry.
:o)
Thanks for the food storage room linkage.
I hate days like that! Like one of those hampsters running on it's wheel...sure it's getting a lot of movement, but it AIN'T going NOWHERE!!
I hope things get better...They always do!
Ah, yes. It sounds like you need a house elf, too!
I spent 2 hours the other day cleaning the kitchen. And, the very next morning, right after breakfast ... you'd never know it. So, I'm not cleaning anymore.
Really. What's the point?!
You've just reminded me I have a ton of laundry to do.. I prefer reading your blog!
well, reading it all it sounds like a lot. that's why i like lists, so I can cross things off and see that, at least at one point, things were accomplished. but, yeah, btdt.
Dishes and Laundry - Mom's never ending nightmare!!!! If we could stop eating and wearing clothes, I think I'd have so much free time!! LOL!
I love when someone shares a post such as this, it makes my posts (of frustration - for lack of better words) seem normal!
At the end of the day, I look around and see all I didn't do and realize there's always tomorrow ---but there will be even more!! :) Positive, huh?
take a break for your birthday. I hope it's a great one.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Want me to post it 13 times?
:o)
Is it your birthday???? Happy Birthday! :)
What projects are you doing at Super Saturday? Can't wait for ours.
I hear you about the futility of housework... sigh...
Happy Birthday, Stephanie!!!
Mine was yesterday. A bit of advice: if you want a cake, you may have to make/go buy one yourself. :)
You're preachin' to the choir. I feel like that every day.
Happy Birthday to You!!
ItyBity sent us over!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! (Why didn't you tell us!?)
It never ends. You get anything cleaned up around the house and 1.5 seconds later its messy again. Especially the kitchen. I hate it. I really really hate it!
