I could get used to this.

I have discovered this sick thing isn't half bad. Other than having to sit on my two-year old to get her to take her antibiotic twice a day, things are pretty nice.

I don't have to teach my primary class because I haven't been on my antibiotics long enough yet. A day off? I'll take it!

An entire Sunday afternoon to myself while the kids are napping and Daddy is at church...not to shabby!

Quiet so that I can surf the blogging highway and actually read a blog without ten interruptions...PRICELESS!!!

Also, if anyone can inform my computer illiterate brain as to what bloglines are and how to use them, I would be eternally grateful.

I'm pretty sure "Bloglines" is like Google Reader where you put in all your blogs and it automatically tells you when they've been updated.

Glad you had a fun sick day!

Bloglines is awesome. It's how I keep up with 40 blogs. My friend Sariah once said she had almost 100 she likes to read, and that's how she keeps up with them all. It's pretty easy to use.

I'll take a day like that. You say all I need is strep throat?

I use bloglines. My (recently pared down) list is 88, including several news feeds and craigslist boards. It saves a lot of time because you don't go to blogs that haven't been updated. Sometimes I like google reader better because bloglins isn't always great about including pictures from posts and I can't stalk as efficiently if I actually have to go to the site to see the pictues. ;)

Hmmm... On the negative side - I have a vacation to plan for and a million things to do before we go, so low energy is probably not the best way to go this week...

HOWEVER, on the plus side - my kids might stay quiet and out of my hair while I work...

decisions, decision...

Glad you are enjoying your sick day! And that everyone is feeling better. I use Netvibes, not because its better than bloglines, but because I happened upon it first. It does make a huge difference in cutting down on blogging time!

The sick days where the kids are actually sick (sick like laying around the house sleeping and watching movies) are usually pretty good days for me. It's when they are to sick to go to school, but have have their energy back, now those days scare me.

Hope she gets better!

Totally do bloglines-it has saved me SO.MUCH.TIME.

Now there is a way of looking at a bad situation and making it a positive! I must admit to a VERY selfish thought....when my kids get sick, things are sooo much quieter around here...not that I like it when they are sick. In fact, I can't stand it...but oh, the quiet...the quiet is so peaceful.
