Works For Me Wednesday

I know this one is late and buried deep under the pile, so I hope someone finds it and can use it.

I HATE clutter. For those of you that know me you know that I HAVE clutter, I just HATE clutter. Especially all of the art projects and little papers that get pasted up on everything.
My solution...Memo boards. You take an art canvas, staple batting, fabric and ribbon (in that order) to the back, sew some cutie-pie buttons and embelishments to the front and hang it from a ribbon. M's art projects are restricted to that specific space and she has to change them out when it gets to full. It is one less thing that I have to worry about. On the side of the fridge is where I put a memo board for all of those tidbits that I get during the week;
confirmation numbers, phone#s, appointment information, etc. until I have a moment to put them in their proper places. And of course, all of the love notes I get from the kiddies.

I love those boards!! Cork boards are great too, especially in my son's bedroom. He displays his crafts with pride.

Love this idea! I am going to have put a few of these together. We have been experiencing an unreal amount of art projects that have been filtering in from school.

Thanks for sharing!

OK, you're coming over to my house and putting me to work. I hate clutter too but doing something about it is something else entirely.

Your daughter is gorgeous! Can I betroth my 7-year-old to her?

You changed your picture - I didn't recognize you from your comment! :) The new one's cute but I was going, Who is this?

Very cute! I love the one on your fridge. I hate all the notes and such magnatized to my fridge that fall off every time someone opens it. Another idea for kids are those magnet boards that are available in craft stores. All you have to do is paint the frame to match the room.

Those are adorable!! My fridge and my door (lucky for me is magnetic) are covered with all sorts of notes, pictures, projects etc. I love the idea. I try to be good, and toss out the old and bring in the new, but it doesn't always work. Maybe this will!

You are sooooooo much more organized than I am! My HOPE is there, but when I put these ideas into action, they just don't quite work the same for me! Love the idea tho!

I just got the new kids pottery barn catalog and they did this above a bed with bigger ribbon and with big 8x10 photos. Such a cute idea.

We have one of these little ribbon bulletin boards we use to store our bills to be paid... hey, it works.
