Works For Me Wednesday

Well, we all know by now that I have an addiction(see my April 19th post) to little girl hair supplies. Today I am going to tell you how I handle all of those little rubber bands that come in different colors. When I first buy a package I separate the little bouncy things (takes a tiny bit of time, but well worth it every morning) and put them into a tackle box. LOVE these tackle boxes. These tackle boxes are also great for Polly Pockets. There is a place for even the tiniest of shoes. Link back to Shannon for more helpful hints!

You are so organized! And you forgot to include your other tip: put the liquid soap dispensers on a pretty plate. Thanks for sharing!

I hope to use this tip someday... 3 boys- we're bound to have a girl eventually, right?

Tee-hee-hee Nettie, I also put my straight iron and curling irons on there so that I don't burn my countertops. I have a tendency to forget to turn them off (turns red with shame).

Great idea. We've got polly pocket clothes floating around the entire house.

I would love a post with some ideas for little girls' hair-dos. My poor little girl looks like she doesn't have a mom most the time! :)

That is a great idea!! I love doing my girls hair, and have a ton of rubberbands all over the place. I think I'll use your idea.

Why haven't I done this sooner??? During my next trip to Walmart/Target, I will get one!

Wow. Very cool. I don't have kids, but trust me, the vast majority of my sewing and crafting stuff is organized in a very similar way. It's so nice to find other people who are so obsessive about organizing as I am!!

You are so organized! When I have a girl, I am totally using that idea!

Glad I could be of assistance with your post problem! I love this idea, by the way. I don't have a girl, but this is useful for so many little things. My mom sells Mary Kay and she puts all her eyeshadows and blushes in a tackle box. Who knew they were so handy!?!

I am so not good at doing hair. I'm already panicked about ever having a girl. At least I can be organized if I do.

I also love the tackle boxes. I use them mostly for the beads for my crocheted socks. The more I know you, the more alike I think we are.

My tip is finally up.

Great idea for storing girls' hair supplies. I'm always losing the matching one and my kids have to go to school with two different ponytail holders! I'll have to try this tip.

S, you are cracking me up...I've been perusing your site and I JUST bought an organizer (but mine was from Michael's) to put all the hair ponies in. I was going to do this for my WFMW this week! Guess you beat me to it!! I just got done looking at your girls do's. I think we are kindred spirits! I love to do little girls hair too! I have two girls (3 and 1) but both are bald and have baby fine hair. I cannot WAIT to do what you're doing. I used to coach pee-wee cheerleaders and I would french braid their hair EVERY game day! Love it! Thanks for the awesome pics!

VERY CLEVER!!! I love the tackle box for hair ties idea - I dislike having to dig through a ziplock bag to try and find colors. Thanks for the idea!!!
