Holy crap! Why this sudden change? This kind of came out of left field. I thought that for sure you would have told me you were going to do this one! You goober, that is two secrets in one day that I discovered you were keeping from me. And I thought you were my friend. I'm crushed!
Oh, shoot, did I blow it in a comment or something? I have tried so hard to make sure I don't use their names, but did I screw up? Oh man, now I am paranoid. Please tell me I didn't!
I am sometimes a freak. Do I have to ignore their names?
I know the confusion part and I've only been doing this for a few weeks. I find myself correcting things way too much before I'm ready to post. I like their real names better and I may be soon to follow your example.
I am so glad you made that decision. Makes it easier for everyone... especially your posterity when you publish this into a book later. Their names are so beautiful!
Hil...you totally didn't blow it. I am just simplifying things. And I am experiencing blogger burnout. The creativity isn't happening these days. And the hair do's.
I promise, those are the only two secrets I have. And I don't even remember what the first one was!
I'm glad you decided to give their real names, because I had forgotten them... except for Tess because it was on her Bday cake :) What beautiful names for such beautiful girls! I understand about that whole "mommy fog" thing- does it ever go away?
Whew! I was always afraid I was going to blow it! They are such cute names. I never even came up with the nicknames because I knew I wouldn't be able to keep track!
Now that the cat's out of the bag I am DH. My real name is Jeremy. Cute, huh. Wait a minute...when I post a comment it shows my first name. Aw, man. Never mind.
I guess I should stop calling the girls by my obscure nicknames as well and start using their real names. Mine are really hard to follow for anyone but me: Beauty, Baby Beauty (Tess recently protested to me, ever so pitifully and sweetly, about using the word Baby on her) and Baby Judy. Weird, I know. My mind is slightly warped. I have equally twisted nicknames for my poor wife.
But Sweetie, it could be worse...I have never called you Lambchops.
Awww.. will you name my future children? Because honestly.. I hate NIGHTMARES about it.. That im going to pick the wrong name and wake up one morning and throw a fit because i hate thier name so much.. And you have cute names.. so when i have them...you name them .. mkay?? :)
Such cute names! :) I think I saw one on a birthday cake, but then forgot it. I really only freak out on my kids, so don't worry about me!
I can't believe that you could keep up with two sets of names! I get mine confused all of the time and call them another name. When does the mommy fog lift,by the way?
That's hilarious. I've thought about doing that, but I'm just making another blog instead completely dedicated to the kids and I'll keep it on the downlow.
Your blog template is seriously so cute. teach me.

It was a spur of the moment decision.

ReplyDeleteYou mean you didn't really name your baby "Squishy??"
ReplyDeleteI think I will miss their code names. :)

ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite part! I don't know you but you make me laugh! I do however know your sister and she cracks me up too :)
I think I'm going to stick with nicknames for my beans. Heck, half the time I can't get their names right when I'm talking directly to them!

Love thier names! Love your decision, and I figure if you are a freak I am still way too hard to find!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it just makes things easier.
ReplyDeleteWhy make things harder for yourself!
