I'm A Big Kid Now!

Sometimes as a mom, you just have to brag a bit. Bear with me while I do my share today. Several weeks ago I mentioned that I was going to try to potty train little T. It didn't go well. After a day and a half of trying, we threw in the towel. That all changed Thursday.

T announced Thursday morning that she was going to wear panties. I told her "That's great, but if you wear panties you have to keep them dry." So she spent the morning in her Elmo panties. She was on the kitchen floor when she started to go. She stopped mid-stream and yelled "Oh no! I gotta go potty!" We ran to the bathroom and she finished there. I am proud to say that she GOT IT! She hasn't had an accident since!

Tonight I get to go to Wally's and exchange that box of size fours for "night-time panties" (pull-ups).

WaHOO!!!!

  10. Yay!!!!! I haven't had a diaper-free home in 6 1/2 years, so I can't really relate, but it does seem like a wonderful (if distant) dream!

  13. I, I, I ... I can't imagine not having to change 40 diapers a day. I've got a story I'm posting later this week about this EXACT issue and how my diaper changing has increased 10-fold in the past month. It's insane. INSANE.

But enough about me and my life that revolves around "poop". Congrats to you. That is so AWESOME! I'm jealous!! :)

  17. Yay for kids realizing how WONDERFUL potty training is!! :) She looks THRILLED to be on that potty...either that, or scared that her mama is taking her picture while she's going!!
