Lucky Number Se7en

My Full Hands tagged me to do a se7ens meme. So here are 42 things you never wanted to know about me:

Seven things I want to do before I die:

1. Learn to paint like my mom.
2. Write the childrens book I have always dreamed about.
3. Loose this weight. I can dream can’t I?
4. Get the laundry done.
5. See my kids grow in to happy, productive, fulfilled adults.
6. Go to Italy…soon, Steph, soon.
7. Do something insanely noteworthy that will live LONG after I die

Seven things I cannot do:
1. Whistle.
2. Play any musical instrument (I can toot a mean kazoo, though).
3. Camp without going C-R-A-Z-Y.
4. Say what I think RIGHT then.
5. Stay on top of the laundry.
6. Cook beets.
7. Keep from worrying about my kids.

Seven things that attracted me to my spouse:
1. His musical abilities.
2. His soothing voice.
3. His Donny Osmond smile.
4. His laugh.
5. His calves…soccer boy.
6. His testimony.
7. His gentleness.

Seven things that I say often:
1. We’ll see. Maybe. In a minute( These are interchangeable, therefore need to be in the same number)
2. I’m so proud of you.
3. Seriously?
4. I don’t want to see you again tonight! (when dd’s have gotten out of bed for the THOUSANDTH time)
5. I love you to the sun and back!
6. Would you like a cold shower?!?!
7. Good morning Sunshine.

Seven Books I Love: I am not including scriptures here because that is a given.
1. Anything by Nicholas Sparks (think “The Notebook” “A Walk to Remember” “Message in a Bottle”—the books are MUCH better than the movies)
2. Parenting With Love and Logic (My other scripture)
3. The Good Earth
4. Man’s Search for Meaning
5. Everyone Poops (My ALL time favorite children’s book—the great equalizer!)
6. Orson Scott Card’s “Women of Genesis” series
7. Flowers for Algernon

Seven Movies I Could Watch Over and Over:
1. The Joy Luck Club
2. Like Water for Chocolate
3. When Harry Met Sally
4. The Italian Job
5. The Saint
6. Swing Kids
7. Smoke Signals

Seven People I'd Like to hear Sevens from:
So I won’t tag anyone because it is too late for my brain to come up with names and I have a DH that is ready to go to be. But if you want to play, let me know and I will come and see yours!!!

fun post. I love Love and Logic too. I've got my own little collection going on. And Everyone Poops? One of my kids' favorites!

I love your list!! That's too funny....I have to agree with the lose weight thing! :D

The Saint should have been on my list! I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!

Advice for Italy... go with someone that has been there before or that has lived there. So much more fun and productive! And can you go to Rome and Florence for me? I didn't make it that far.

I've only seen "Italian Job" and "When Harry Met Sally" - I feel so not-movie-savvy.

A good friend of mine swears by Love and Logic. I hear it's good stuff.

I'm still loving Weight Watchers! 4.4 pounds and counting! Do it, baby!

We say "I love you to the moon and back"!

I'm with you on laundry... hard to stay on top of!

I love your list. I hear you on the camping.
I'm wondering when do you use "Would you like a cold shower?!?!

LOL ... I'm wondering about that too.

I hear you on the lose weight thing. I don't know if it'll ever happen. But, I'll keep at it. I just love to eat, and I'll be the first to admit it. Food is fun and good!

I Love the Love and Logic. I got it when I started having problems with my 8 year old. :)

Have the kids caught on that "we'll see, maybe, and in a minute" mean "I don't want to talk about it, most likely no, and Can't you see I'm in the middle of something?" at least that's what they usually mean at my house!

Michelle: It's good to meet you!

Valarie: LMBO!!!

Gabriela: I am so glad to know that I am not the only potty humor fan.

Ity: Exactly. Who WANTS to cook beets. Remind me to tell you the story of the beet vs. the lawnmower.

Dawnyel: We need to start a support group.

Gina: I need you to e-mail me. J's cousin lived there for 2 years and is giving us some advice, I would love to hear more from you!

Naddin J: I am SO joining WW!

Lei: I am glad you are still around! It started with the moon and then it got further and further. Stinkin' laundry!

No Cool Story: My idea of roughing it is a hotel

NCS & Naddin J: The cold shower is a discipline tactic for our two-year old. She throws MEGA tantrums and one day I had enough. I put her in a cold shower fully clothed and shocked her out of it. Every once in a while she still needs a splash of cold water to the face, but a loving "Would you like a cold shower" stops her dead in her tracks...note to any well-meaning lurker...no hate mail please.

UTMommy: I love food too. I don't know if I will ever be disciplined enough (as I sit here munching on P.B. M&Ms).

Jettara: SO glad it's out there. DD #2 gets to make all sorts of choices, mostly be nice or a cold shower for you!

My full hands: They haven't yet and I hope they never do. Here it typically means "Well, no. But I am not in big-bad-mommy-mode so I am saying this to put off telling you 'NO WAY, EVER!!!'."

Valarie: Whoops. I thought you meant the laundry. That is what I would LMBO over. YOU are ABSOLUTELY right.

Hey, I love your new look! It was fun to read your list. I'm with ItyBtyFrog, I haven't seen any of those movies either! Thanks for the recomendations!

I love reading books by Nicholas Sparks, too. I just read his Memoir and it was very good!

LAUGHING MY GUTS OUT!!!! Loved all these Steph! Esp. the cold shower/ & 3 responses to the kids -and I say MANY times to child #1 - I don't want to see you again...because he's once again left his room ;0). And I for one - LOVE BEETS! I'll make them for you next week! LOL. Hey - I just realized that LMBO is almost what I said in the top line - I'm learning! ;0)

I love all of the movies you listed. (Shows what a couch potato I can be) And Flowers for Algernon? It has been years since I read that. I'll have to try "Everyone Poops". Sounds intriguing!

Stephanie: the cold shower is definitely a more lasting impression than the time out.
Bet you only had to do it only once; I always say: “desperation is the mother of creativity”

Hope you didn’t get any hate mail :)
